Ham, Broccoli, and Cheddar Pasta Recipe:
Ingredients:
- 1 box Ditalini pasta
- 1 to 2 packs of diced ham
- 1 large crown of broccoli, cut into small florets
- 2 jars of classic Alfredo sauce
- 1 bag of sharp white cheddar cheese (optional, for extra cheesiness)
Instructions:
1. Cook the Pasta:
- Cook the Ditalini pasta according to the package instructions in a large pot of salted boiling water. Drain and set aside.
2. Prep the Ingredients:
- While the pasta is cooking, dice the ham if it’s not already diced. Cut the broccoli into small, bite-sized florets.
3. Cook the Broccoli:
- In the same pot used for pasta (or another pot), steam or blanch the broccoli until it’s tender but still vibrant green. This should only take a few minutes. Drain and set aside.
4. Prepare the Cheese:
- Grate the sharp white cheddar cheese if it’s not pre-shredded. Set aside.
5. Heat the Alfredo Sauce:
- In a large skillet or saucepan, heat the two jars of Alfredo sauce over medium heat. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
6. Add Ham and Broccoli:
- Once the Alfredo sauce is heated through, add the diced ham and steamed broccoli to the sauce. Stir well to coat the ham and broccoli with the sauce. Allow it to simmer for a few minutes until everything is heated.
7. Combine with Pasta:
- Add the cooked Ditalini pasta to the skillet with the Alfredo sauce, ham, and broccoli. Toss everything together until the pasta is well-coated with the sauce.
8. Optional Cheese Addition:
- If you want a cheesier taste, sprinkle the shredded sharp white cheddar cheese over the pasta mixture. Stir until the cheese is melted and fully incorporated.
9. Serve Warm:
- Once everything is heated through and well mixed, serve the Ham, Broccoli, and Cheddar Pasta immediately.
10. Enjoy: – Enjoy your delicious and quick Ham, Broccoli, and Cheddar Pasta!
Note:
- Feel free to add additional seasonings such as black pepper, garlic powder, or a pinch of red pepper flakes for extra flavor.
