
Black Forest Cake

- 1 box of chocolate cake mix
 - 3/4 cup of water
 - 1/2 cup of vegetable oil
 - 3 eggs
 - 1 can of cherry pie filling
 - 1 cup of heavy cream
 - 1/4 cup of powdered sugar
 - 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
 - Chocolate shavings, for garnish
 
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease two round cake pans.
 - In a large bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs. Mix until well combined.
 - Divide the batter evenly between the two cake pans and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
 - Let the cakes cool completely before assembling the cake.
 - In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
 - To assemble the cake, place one cake layer on a serving platter. Top with half of the cherry pie filling and half of the whipped cream. Repeat with the second cake layer, remaining cherry pie filling, and whipped cream.
 - Garnish with chocolate shavings and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
